Yes we know, skincare products are in.
We got the memo!
From celebs to the most well-reputed beauty bloggers in the Middle East, everyone’s been masking all day, all night. We think it’s safe to say we’re now tempted to find out what are in fact some of the best masks to use? Well, there are different types of masks with each benefits of its own.
In this read, we’ll be going over the different types of masks and some of our favorite masks to use from each category.
You’re welcome!
1. Turmeric and Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Mask, Kiehl’s
We all know exfoliant masks work really well to brighten our skin and give it a smoother apperance. But do we know what they do exactly?
Exfoliants actually work to draw out any surface debris that may clog your pores. How do they do that? In a nutshell, exfoliation is the process of removing dead skin cells to reveal a brighter complexion. Experts recommend using exfoliants two to three times a week.
One of our favorite exfoliants is the Turmeric and Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Mask from Kiehl’s. Formulated with Cranberry Seeds, this brightening mask gently exfoliates the skin with crushed Cranberry seeds as the Turmeric works to leave skin feeling soft and smooth – giving the skin an “instant facial”.
2. Hydrating Gel Mask, Sephora
Gel masks are formulated to hydrate and nourish the skin. Their coolness makes them perfect for hydrating on the go and giving the skin a refreshed feel throughout the day. Gel masks are perfect for sensitive skin types due to their coolness – but work well on normal to dry skin types as well.
A good gel mask to add to your routine is Sephora’s Instant Moisture Water Gel. It may not be as effective as other masks to hydrate the skin – but it’s the perfect product to keep by your side all day and cool or hydrate as needed.
We like to use it on a daily basis, after a long work day of sitting in front of a PC.
3. Clay Mask, Flormar
Clay Masks have a proven ability to absorb toxins and remove them from your skin. They’re great for acne-prone skin and minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines.
Flormar’s Clay Mask is an exfoliating and hydrating mask. It can be used 2 to 3 times a week to leave you with smoother skin. Its main benefits include minimizing the appearance of pores, absorbing excess serum and giving the skin a smoother appearance.
4. Keratin Smooth Hair Mask, TRESemmé
Don’t forget about your hair masks! Hair-masking is as important as skincare. If your hair is in need of a hydrating boost, you should definitely consider substituting your conditioner for a hair mask.
TRESemmé’s Keratin Hair Mask is your go-to for smooth hair. Once or twice a week, swap out your regular conditioner for TRESemme Keratin Smooth Deep Smoothing Mask.
This intensive moisturizing hair mask, infused with Keratin, seals strands to fight humidity and control frizz, leaving locks gorgeously smooth and shiny without weighing them down. Trust us, we’ve tried it!
5. Mint Lip Mask, Kocostar
Are your lips deeply chapped? Join the club.
It’s extremely easy to forget about moisturizing your lips. But did you know there was such a thing called a Lip mask? Kocostar’s Masks have been around for a while.
They’re mostly known for their funky and eccentric styles – The kind beauty bloggers usually go bananas over! Their Mint Lip Mask not only works to moisturize and nourish dry lips, but also smells amazing!
A big bonus, don’t you think?
